adry… today’s society needs more ppl like you. well done and i’m glad you blogged about this to let your readers know that there are genuine cases such as this where there are those who require help from others. too often we exercise extreme caution instead of selfless being because a few crooks have spoilt society’s conscience.

orang baik bukan senang nak jadi. there are also other ways to jadi orang baik. i remember i picked up someone’s handphone outside my office. and i tried to contact the owner of the phone by calling his friends etc. the he came and took back his handphone, thanking me endlessly and gave me RM10 as a token of appreciation..

I would agree with foodcrazee. After tolong orang, sendiri pulak yang sueh. I wouldn’t stop the car if I’m alone in it. With all the murder and robbery and rape stories that we read all too frequent and the lousy image of the police in the country, people are more for keeping themselves and their family safe. People would rather watch the drama than be the hero. Not that I condone this attitude anyway. Bukannya tak nak tolong, tapi nak jadi orang baik tu tak kondusif.

without a doubt i am partially in agreement with foodcrazee, CH and you.. Anne.. sure crime rate is high. and with the raising inflation, crime rates would sky rocket even more. but, when saying the government has failed to create a safe atmosphere.. i don’t think that the entire blame should be put on them. and by saying that, i’m not pro-government or anything.

i totally agree with CH. We do feel we want to help, afterall we are human beings. But safety issues is what we’re worried about. There’s a lot of ‘predators’ out there, purposely ‘make a scene’ to make you stop then rob you, or worse make you tekan all your money from atm machine then dump you into a river after they slit your throat. It’s horrifying.. and I guess it’s exceptional being a girl because we’re not expected to stop and help in this kind of situation eh..

Exactly, can’t totally blame people. The government has failed to create an atmosphere where people feel safe to help others. Snatch thefts, ambushes, car jackings, con jobs. Not only that, they say that the crime rate is actually falling. But this is based on police reports that no one bothers to make any more because they are a complete waste of time and money spent at the police station.

it is becoz some of us was robbed or terrorized when we stopped to help those poor guys. . . .mana nak tolonglagi lepas tu bro . . . .kecut teloq terui.

For me, it depends on where and what happens . . . .will always try to help but still think of safety to meself and family . . .2 bb’s future in my hand lar.

Anyway, lu bagui . . .banyak pahala hang dapat . .
